Terms of Service

Terms for using VideoTranscriptGen transcription services.
Sep 15, 2026

Acceptance

These terms apply when you access or use VideoTranscriptGen. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

VideoTranscriptGen converts supported video and audio into transcripts and subtitle files. Automated transcription can contain mistakes, especially with noise, overlapping speech, accents, names, and technical terms. You are responsible for reviewing output before publishing or relying on it.

Accounts

You must provide accurate account information and protect your sign-in credentials. You are responsible for activity performed through your account and should promptly report suspected unauthorized access.

Your media and output

You retain your rights in media you submit and output generated for you. You grant us the limited permission needed to upload, store, process, and transmit that material to provide the service. You must have the rights and permissions required to process the material, including any required consent from recorded people.

Acceptable use

You may not use the service to violate law or third-party rights, distribute malware, evade usage limits, interfere with service security, submit unlawful material, or attempt unauthorized access to another account or transcript.

Credits, subscriptions, and billing

One credit represents one source-media minute, rounded up to the next whole minute. Current allowances and prices appear on the pricing and checkout pages. Monthly plans renew monthly; annual plans are charged annually and receive the stated monthly allowance. One-time credit packs do not renew. Taxes may apply.

You may cancel a subscription through billing settings. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid term. Refund rights depend on applicable law and the checkout terms shown at purchase. Failed transcription jobs are eligible for an automatic credit return when the system records a terminal provider failure.

Availability and changes

We may change supported formats, usage limits, providers, or features, and may suspend service for maintenance, security, or abuse prevention. We will provide reasonable notice of material pricing or subscription changes where required.

Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, VideoTranscriptGen is not responsible for losses caused by unreviewed transcript errors, unlawful source material, third-party services, or events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Suspension and termination

We may restrict or close accounts that materially violate these terms, threaten the service, or create legal risk. You may stop using the service and request account deletion at any time.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the service changes. The date above identifies the current version. Questions can be sent to hello@videotranscriptgen.com.
