Turn WAV audio into text

WAV commonly preserves uncompressed or lightly processed audio, making it a useful source for transcription. Upload a WAV through the audio transcription tool, select the spoken language, and review the resulting timestamped segments.

Quality and file size

A WAV can preserve recording detail, but it can also be much larger than an MP3. The current upload limit is 95 MB and the duration limit is 30 minutes. If the file is too large, split it at a natural pause or export a high-quality MP3. Converting a noisy recording to WAV will not restore detail that was never captured.

Use TXT when you need searchable notes or an editable record. Use SRT for caption timing. Always verify proper nouns, figures, and passages with cross-talk before relying on the text.
